Autumn leaves are falling

One of the aspects of autumn I've never experienced but would love to: falling leaves. Yes, that's one of the few drawbacks of not living in a temperate weather, together with winter snow (WINTER, not fall or spring).

It appears it hasn't got any cold for them yet, though Flora was careful to bring her sweater along even if she's still wearing sandals. BTW where's yours, Nuria? Either the purple track jacket you wore to start the year, or another you might have there. No, don't expect her to wear a long sleeve top with her dress, they don't use to do that.

Question: This month I've already seen on Flickr kids on scenes like this, but instead of just wearing a sweater and a scarf, which is what I might expect, they're already wrapped up like if it were winter! (coat, hat, hood, sometimes scarf and gloves). Is it that cold already on those regions? I think a winter coat is too much for more than 5 degrees C, even for a child. Yes, another tropical weather problem I don't get...
